Travel to Dusit Thani Pattaya, Thailand:
While planning your trip, the following general information about Thailand may be useful: Thailand – Information before you travel
Arrival Airport options:
The Local Organising Committee recommends arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (Airport Code: Bkk). BKK is the largest airport and 40 km closer to Pattaya than Don Mueang Airport (DMK), is located directly near the motorway, and therefore doesn’t require driving through Bangkok to reach Pattaya. It will take 1.5-2.5 hours from the airport to the venue, depending on traffic.
Moreover, the LOC will provide shuttle buses from BKK airport to the venue (4-5 times/day, see tentative times below), which makes it much more convenient for participants compared to other airports.
Low cost airlines, particularly from neighboring countries, tend to use Don Mueang airport (DMK) which is a little closer to the city but farther from the venue. Participants can take a taxi or a limousine from this airport to the venue which will cost approx. 1500 – 3000 baht (40 – 75 EUR). Shuttle buses from DMK the venue will not be provided, local transportation is at participants’ own cost.
U-tapao airport (UTP) is closest to the venue (1 hour drive; approx. 25 EUR for taxi), but the number of flights arriving at this airport is limited. Participants can still choose this airport if the ticket price is cheap. However, Shuttle buses from UTP to the venue will not be provided, local transportation is at participants’ own cost.

From Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, after you exit the arrivals hall at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, you’ll be confronted by numerous touts offering to transport you anywhere in Thailand, usually in a mini-van or a limousine. Before succumbing to the tout, remember that a metered taxi from the airport to Pattaya has an official price of 1,050 baht, plus 60 baht for expressway charges.
Touted limos and mini vans are invariably more expensive, even when factoring in the fact they might hold more people. Even less expensive are the buses that leave from the airport’s Transport Centre. To get one, simply take the complimentary shuttle bus from the curb outside the arrivals area to the Transport Center and then buy a ticket on one of the buses leaving for Pattaya.
Buses leave about every two hours, cost only 106 baht, and take about 1 ½ hours for the trip. As more people start using these buses, the number of departures will undoubtedly increase. Air conditioned buses arrive at the North Pattaya Road bus station where you need to take additional transportation to a hotel.
As for alternative transportation, members can directly contact Mullika at . She can book the airport limousine once requested. A one way limousine (Toyota Camry) will cost approx. 65 EUR (ThB 2,500). A shared ride is possible.
